The Lee County Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold an Alternatives Public Workshop on the Big Carlos Bridge Project Development and Environment Study from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Bay Oaks Recreation Center at 2731 Oak Street, Fort Myers Beach, Florida, 33931.

Built in 1965, the Big Carlos Pass bridge is 52 years old. Due to its age, it is in need of replacement or rehabilitation. An environmental and engineering process called a Project Development & Environment Study (or PD&E Study) is underway to determine the social, economic, natural, and physical effects associated with this project.
