A recent spike in thefts from unlocked vehicles is prompting this very important reminder to all Lee County residents:

Lock Your Car! Remove All Valuables!

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in the report of stolen firearms and other valuables from unlocked vehicles. Gun owners must take the appropriate steps to keep their weapons safely secured and out of reach from thieves scouring residential neighborhoods for unlocked car doors.

We must work together to keep our communities safe.
