Pictures at install and low tide

To All,

Great job all! A total of 72 units installed with this project which means when units get “percolating” they will mimic 2.05 miles of mangrove, they will filter 1.8 to 2.5 million gallons of water per day, will increase fish population 14,400 to 21,600 fish per year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…………….what else can be said than FANTASTIC. I hope you will open the attachment with pics and also the links with more pics. I have added factual information also. Something you may want to hold onto and be proud you were a part of. I have also included contact info for Ocean Habitat Inc in case someone in the future asks you where to purchase.

I stayed busy during the installation of the Ocean Habitat Units. Thought I would share pics and information for all of you. Sadly kept forgetting to take more pics as we went along.

So with installation complete I have finished the project that began over a year ago.

The units ended up being installed over 3 days, unfortunately I couldn’t contact the last group to give you a heads up on installation in case you wanted to view, as my computer died however with $$$ it is back to life, and you are receiving a composite of pics and information. The pics in the attachments are courtesy of Sandy Hein and are of units installed under her shared finger of Steve Lamb.

The goal was to have a group order for our EBIA community of which we all would benefit from a group discount. That has been accomplished. At this time while I can be contacted(am only the messenger), if for any reason you have a problem regarding these units, or if someone you know wishes to purchase, please contact:

The units after being installed require no maintenance.

Here are some numbers for you regarding these units:

These units mimic mangroves and the ecology/environment, each unit will mimic 150’ of mangrove once it is “percolating”.

Each unit filters 25,000 to 35,000 gallons of water each day

Each unit increases fish population 200 to 300 fish per year(totals are also reported at end of email)

These units filter red tide and blue algae.

These units also went up in price, so we purchased at a perfect time.

For those of you who live in Royal Pelican you benefited with a $25 subsidy by the Royal Pelican Boating Association for each unit you purchased, yay RP Boating Association for being forward thinking.

To continue, again the attachments are pics courtesy of Sandy Hein during installation.

The following are links including pics of units being installed, the local NBC news reporter sent us a link of the report shown on their evening news regarding this project. So with the attached pics and the following links…..please enjoy…

A combination of Dave Sr along with his sons Dave Jr, and Alex did the installations. They are good guys and it was a pleasure assisting them with installation(have to be honest my job was to take them around and show where to install, occasionally I carried a couple)

The following link is the NBC evening news report shown on our local NBC station regarding our project

This next link are the units being prepped to be installed under the EBIA Fishing Pier, 17 in all.

6 were purchased by EBIA and another 11 were purchased by residents of Waters Edge Condo(9) along with a couple from the Palms(2)

Ideal location as these individuals live in that area and at the same time did not have a dock to install under. It took 2+ hours to install these units.

This next link shows 6 units bundled together(you can bundle up to 12)

Bundles of 6 were installed at each end of the fishing pier with 3 and 2 being bundled and installed in the centers of the fishing pier.

The interesting point with these bundles being that they are moving with waves and currents, so while they will become their own environment

They will never “fuse” to each other due to that movement, this as per Dave Wolff.
